Dominated by rugged sandstone cliffs that seem to go on forever, Bunurong Marine and Coastal Park is the perfect place for a stroll along the cliff tops no matter what the weather conditions.

The day I visited was truly wild and windy, and not really the best day to head off on a photo shoot, but free time on a Saturday doesn't come along that often.

Even so, the Park is still starkly beautiful, and the sounds of the sea even more evocative.

The Bunurong Marine and Coastal Park stretches along the coast from Harmers Haven to Inverloch.

The Park is easily accessed by car, and points of interest are only a short walk from the car park, making this area perfect for those with limited mobility.

The tea-tree trails are like tunnels and offered wonderful protection from the howling wind and rain.

As you follow the trail along the headland the tea-tree tunnels open onto breathtaking observation points.

Many of these beaches are not suitable for swimming.  Through the summer months Inverloch and Cape Patterson beaches are patrolled by surf lifesavers.
