Spinifex on the Beach is located high on the main ridge of sand dunes at Sandy Point, with direct ocean beach access as well as panoramic views of Shallow Inlet , the Strzelecki Ranges, and glimpses of Wilsons Prom.

Designed by Buro Architects of Melbourne, the elegantly- appointed, two-storey beach house is filled with natural light, and provides luxurious seaside accommodation for a couple, for families and for groups of friends.

Spinifex on the beach is spacious yet private, and is surrounded by mature banksia, tea-tree and wattle trees and native gardens, with the coastal bush of the foreshore reserve along the rear boundary of the property.

The three-bedroom house is built of silver top ash, with hoop pine, limestone, bluestone, polished timber floors and expansive glass doors giving access to a huge cantilevered deck that faces the north-east to catch the morning sun.

The open-plan living and dining area features top-quality furniture, fixtures and lighting, together
with an enclosed wood fire, reverse cycle air-conditioning, a Bose stereo system, a large colour television, and DVD player, a Playstation II with games a telescope and even a weather station.
On the deck are chaise lounges, an outdoor furniture setting and a gas barbecue.

Spinifex on the beach’s kitchen is equipped with Quarella quartz composite bench tops, a European commercial stainless steel stove, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a microwave and all crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and glassware.

The main bedroom, with a queen bed and a private balcony, is located upstairs beyond a
spacious bathroom fitted with a Japanese-style bath, a separate shower, a toilet and hand
basin designed by Phillip Starck.

Two more bedrooms may be found downstairs, one furnished with a queen bed and the other with a double and a single bed, together with a second bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a hand basin.
There is also an outdoor shower to wash off the sand after a day on one of Victoria’s most beautiful beaches, just over the sand dunes.
All linen and towels are provided for guests’ use during their stay.

Spinifex on the Beach is ideal as a memorable coastal retreat for a couple, and is also suitable
for up to three couples or two families. Sleeping up to seven people in total.

There is plenty of storage space at Spinifex on the Beach, along with parking for up to three
cars, and all just a short stroll from the Sandy Point General Store, the Sandy Point Café and the Waratah Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

Spinifex Tariff Bookings are for the sole use of the property for up to 7 people. Linen & towel are supplied Tariffs listed are for 2 people sharing, for extra people add $20.00 per person per night, children under 2 are not charged. This does not apply for Christmas & January School Holidays where a flat rate is charged for up to 7 people. Discounted weekly tariffs are available for any check in day except Saturday. If you must check in on a Saturday the nightly tariff applies.

All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars. Half deposit is required upon booking. Final payment is due seven days prior to arrival. Cancellations earlier than two weeks prior to arrival - Full refund less 10% cancellation fee of the total. Cancellations within two weeks of arrival will be refunded only if we are able to refill all the period booked, 10% fee of the total then applies. No refunds for early departure or non-arrivals.
