BLACK COCKATOO COTTAGES are situated at 60 Foley Road Yanakie, three kilometres from the gateway to Wilsons Promontory.

Newly built, Black Cockatoo Cottages are stylish, warm and comfortable. Abundant native trees and shrubs attract a variety of bird life including the humorous Black Cockatoo.

And now, the three-bedroom Black Cockatoo House is also available for groups of up to six people.

All three cottages are fully self-contained with magnificent sea views of Wilson’s Promontory and Corner Inlet.

The kitchens are fully equipped with an upright stove, a microwave, a fridge, a toaster, jug and coffee plunger, and all crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils.

The Cottages are comfortable all year 'round with reverse-cycle air-conditioning.

Each cottage has a bedroom with a queen sized bed and an electric blanket, a lounge room with a futon fold down bed that doubles as a couch, two comfortable easy chairs, a television, a VCR, and a compact disc player.

The Studio Living Room and Verandah

Black Cockatoo House is our original family home, built in 1980, and is without AAA Tourism rating. However the House is clean and comfortable and is perfect for hikers, backpackers and the not-so-fussy, accommodating up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms.

Black Cockatoo House has a spacious, open-plan living and dining area featuring full-height picture windows framing an unforgettable view of the Inlet and the Prom. A sliding door opens on to a paved terrace with outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue.

Inside are inviting couches and lounge chairs, a dining setting and cosy gas heating, along with ceiling and pedestal fans, a colour television, CD and DVD players and a selection of books.

The large kitchen is fully-equipped, with all crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and glassware, an electric stove, microwave, a combined refrigerator/freezer, and a toaster and kettle.

Black Cockatoo House has a queen bedroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, with all linen and towels supplied for up to six guests.

BYO bed linen and towels, or linen and towels can be hired at a cost of $20 per bed,
for Black Cockatoo House only.

The tiled bathroom has a shower and hand basin, with a separate toilet. The laundry has an automatic washing machine.

Black Cockatoo Cottages is a friendly, family owned business providing personal service that delights and exceeds expectations.
Activities - golfing, visiting local restaurants, visiting local wineries, surfing, fishing, bushwalking, diving, swimming, kayaking, windsurfing and bird-watching.

Black Cockatoo Cottages Tariff Bookings are for the sole use of each Cottage and Studio for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are supplied in Cottages and Studio. All tariffs listed are for 2 people, for extra adults and children over the age of 12 years add $25.00 per person per night, for children under 12 add $15.00 per night, for children under 2 no charge providing they use existing linen and towels.

Black Cockatoo Cottages Booking Terms All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars. Half deposit is required upon booking. Final payment is due fourteen (14) days prior to arrival. Cancellations earlier than two weeks prior to arrival - Full refund less 10% cancellation fee of the total. Cancellations or changes of dates within two weeks of arrival will be refunded only if we are able to refill all the cancelled/changed period booked, 10% fee of the total then applies. No refunds for early departure or non-arrivals.
